Fellows Lake

Fellows Lake is a reservoir in southwest Missouri, United States. It is located in Greene County, just north of Springfield. The lake is owned and operated by the City of Springfield and is the city's primary source of drinking water. The lake is also a popular recreation spot, with over 10,000 acres of land open to the public for camping, hiking, fishing, and picnicking.

Fellows Lake was created in 1955 with the construction of Fellows Dam on the James River. The lake has a capacity of over 200,000 acre-feet of water and a surface area of nearly 9,000 acres. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish, including bass, catfish, and crappie, and is a popular destination for both fishing and boating.

Fellows Lake is open to the public year-round, and there are a number of campgrounds and picnic areas located around the lake. In addition, the lake is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, turkey, and bald eagles.
