Pomme de Terre Lake
Pomme de Terre Lake is a man-made lake located in southwest Missouri. The lake was created in the early 1960s by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the purpose of flood control and recreation. The lake is approximately 7,000 acres in size and has over 150 miles of shoreline. Pomme de Terre Lake is a popular destination for boating, fishing, swimming, and camping. The lake is home to a variety of fish species including bass, crappie, catfish, and walleye. Pomme de Terre State Park is located on the lake and offers a variety of amenities and activities for visitors.
