Truman Lake

The Harry S. Truman Reservoir is a man-made lake in west-central Missouri. The reservoir is approximately 55 miles long and 11 miles wide, with a surface area of over 60,000 acres. The reservoir was created in 1979 by the construction of the Harry S. Truman Dam on the Osage River. The reservoir is named for the 33rd president of the United States, who was born and raised in Missouri.

The reservoir is a popular destination for boating, fishing, swimming, and other outdoor activities. The reservoir is home to a variety of fish species, including bass, catfish, and crappie. The reservoir is also a popular spot for birdwatching, as it is home to a variety of waterfowl and other bird species.
